Cultured Biomecare: An Interview With Founder, Rob Calcraft

Can you tell us about yourself and your journey into the beauty industry?
âA long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, when Britney was doing it again and Big Brother started, I sat in an office with my friend Antony, and we decided to start a skincare brand.â Rob says. âThat brand turned out to be REN. With it, we had the most amazing adventure through the skincare universe over more than 15 years. REN moved to a new home, but the love of skincare, science and product formulation wouldnât leave me alone, so here I am. Another rodeo.â
What prompted you to begin Cultured Biomecare?
âIn a word. Science.â Rob states. Cultured Biomecare harnesses the power of science in all their skincare formulas, and Rob explains that the discovery of the microbiome has forever changed what we know about the skin and how it works. âItâs a bona fide scientific revolution and the biggest thing to happen to skincare, ever â itâs the genesis of Cultured. Second, the incredible advances in skincare active technology driven by fermentation and bioscience. I should also add that the offspring left home and told me to get a life.â
